About Us and Northwoods Doodles

Thanks for entering our website to learn more about us!  Raising Doodles has been such a fun adventure for us. Six years ago we got our first Irish Doodle, Eme (Emmy) and we did not have intentions to breed her.  As she grew others noticed her wonderful disposition and asked if we would consider breeding her.  A little nervous, because Eme’s health comes first, we talked to our vet and to many who had bred before and decided to give it a try.  It was such a wonderful experience and privilege to be the first humans that the puppies loved and with whom they played.  They trusted us and we loved them so much!  It was very hard to see them leave our home but, WOW, was it also amazing to see the excitement and love their new families had for them! We keep in contact with so many of the owners of our pups.  It’s so fun! You can check out some of the owners thoughts under the “reviews” tab. Since that time, we have raised 4 Irish Doodle litters and have since retired Eme as a mom. After much research, we decided to enter into breeding Bernadoodles. We also wanted to share these incredible dogs with our friends so we entered into a guardian partnership with them and our (their) new Bernadoodle named Daisy.

Our friends live two houses down from us in a rural area of Northern WI. The Nicolet National Forest is our back yard with hundreds of miles of trails available for the dogs and us to enjoy. Individually and as couples, we love being outdoors and active.  We love to bicycle, hike, standup paddleboard, kayak and in the winter we love to cross-country ski.  The dogs love doing all of these activities with us.

We want you to know that we are not a large breeder.  Now that Eme is retired it is just Daisy and us so every puppy gets oodles and oodles of attention and care.  (Check out our ENS practice information on the home page.) Our rural neighborhood is perfect for raising pups.  Our yard provides lots of fun playtime and there are many nearby forest trails for us to walk them on.

As your breeder, we are here to answer your questions and support you in the best way possible.  That means if you have a question you can call or text now or years later when you have a grown pup.  Even if you don’t purchase a pup from us but have questions about the breed we are here to help. Our heart’s desire is that new owners understand the breed and are confident that it will be a great fit.  We want ours and other pups to be adopted into homes that are prepared and excited to love them with their whole hearts! Dogs can be such a blessing to a home and bring much joy with the right support, love and intentional care.  If we can help with that, we’d love to!

We hope this helps you get a feel for whom we are and the type of interaction you can expect from us.  As questions come up about us, our practices, or adopting one of our pups, we welcome you to reach out to us.  It’s our pleasure to get to know you too!

Here’s a few puppy puns just for fun.  They are PAWsome!

- Anything is paw-sible when you have a dog.

- The dog is so popular that the pup-arazzi took its photo.

- That dog is so beautiful. She should be on the cover of Vanity Fur.

-I love walking my neighbor’s dog. It’s the leashed I can do.

We hope you’ve enjoyed yourself and even laughed a little.
